FRENCH ART DECO BRONZE-MOUNTED GLAZED EARTHENWARE COVERED JAR

This large green covered jar by Sѐvres sits on a foot stand and has a bronze mount cast as a coiled cobra on each side. The earthenware is in three parts: top, body and separate foot. The bronze cobra mount is by Raymond Subes and rests on the earthenware without an attachment.

Stamped Sevres 43/ incised EE underneath foot.
Inscribed R. Subes on bronze mount.
